Christie Cohen
Chairman of the Board
Christi Cohen’s rise to the top of Aloette
and the cosmetic industry is the stuff business legends are made of.
Ms. Cohen has spent more than 24 years promoting the virtues of proper
skin care and beauty products. Her career, which began at Auburn
University in 1979, where she sold Aloette products to pay for college,
has taken her to a leadership role of the entire company. As Aloette
Chairman of the board, Ms. Cohen is an American “dorm room to board
room” success story.
After purchasing the Company in 1998
and moving the headquarters from Philadelphia to Atlanta, Ms. Cohen
became personally involved in product development — redesigning the
Aloette packaging and formulations to position the Company as one of
the best in the market. As a result, Company revenues grew 15% in the
first year of her stewardship and have since tripled in size.
Ms. Cohen also serves as the Aloette spokesperson — recently
introducing the Aloette brand to millions households through the The
Shopping Channel in Toronto, Canada and Shop At Home Network in the
United States. While internally she is the driving force behind
Aloette, to the millions of Aloette consumers she is the embodiment of
the company’s vision; she is a teacher, a supporter and an inspiration.
In addition to Aloette, Ms Cohen actively serves the needs of her
community. She is involved in the Georgia Trust for Historic
Preservation. And as past-president of the Howard School Parent’s Club,
Ms. Cohen was responsible for over $100,000 in private fund raising.
Christie is also an active supporter of Pace Academy, St. Francis, and
G-CAPP. Her forward thinking approach to business and her hands-on work
in the community have not gone unnoticed. Business-to-Business Magazine
named her one of Atlanta’s Top Female Business Divas, and Georgia Trend
Magazine selected Christie as one of Georgia’s Rising Stars. Her
contributions have also been noted in Forbes, Atlanta City Magazine,
The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle, and
Jezebel Magazine.
As a wife, mother, business owner and Aloette customer, Christie Cohen
truly knows and appreciates that a woman who is empowered and in charge
of her own destiny radiates a genuine beauty and success from within.
