How does Just Air Backpack save your back ?
Our patented breakthrough system uses a cushion of air to evenly distribute weight across your back and shoulders.
Just Air™ backpacks protect you
and your family from injury
and stress.
How the Just Air Backpack Works:
The air chamber is located within the backpack separating the
backpack’s contents from your back. The air chamber design
re-distributes the load across a wide area, eliminating focal pressure
points.
The air valve is patented and easy to use. It can
easily adjust the air pressure without a lot of effort. The valve will
hold the air for a prolonged period of time. The user will seldom need
to re-inflate the chamber. The adjustable feature of the valve allows
the user to adjust the pressure in the chamber to suit the user’s
particular desired comfort. The backpack contents never come in contact
with the user’s back.

Case Studies
"Recent
studies clearly show that Regular Backpacks can cause injury to a
user's back, for example a Northeastern University (June 2001) study
reported that the average student has a VAS (visual analog scale) pain
level of 4.3 with a high percent reporting a pain into the range of
8-9. Students who wore a Backpack utilizing an Air Shock Absorbing
System like the Just Air System for six weeks had a VAS pain level of
1.8, a greater than 50% reduction in pain.
In October 1999, the American Academy of of Orthopedics stated that "of the more than 100 physicians surveyed:
- 71% felt that backpacks ARE a clinical problem for children.
- 58% have seen patients complaining of back or shoulderpain related to backpacks.
- 52% feel that backpack injury IS a significant problem.
- 65% have recommended that a patient modify the use of backpacks to improve or correct a back problem.
Survey
was conducted amongst physicians from Children's Memorial Hospital,
Chicago, IL and Alfred I. DuPont Hospital, Wilmington, DE.
"It
typically puts them off balance and gives them a posture that promotes
low back pain," said Dr. Wayne Yankus of the American Academy of
Pediatrics Committee on School Health.
"A lot of kids don't suffer it immediately, but over the long run they might."
